2014 goes down as probably the most enjoyable Cliffhanger yet. It was our 10th anniversary and with 9 others under our belt we are getting old hands at this. So with no stress and all the wrinkles ironed out we set about putting on the greatest show so far.

Brad Dukes from Team Tint A Car says "This year the stages were a lot longer and a lot harder .. Tough on the car".

Andy Smith says "We get to go fast, afterall it's Cliffhanger".

Steve Pinchen says "I did skids !!"

Robbie Calvert (remained dressed throughout the event) says his driver Andy Miller "Drives like a girl"

Andy Miller says "I've been looking for a reason to get rid of Robbie" and "girls can drive pretty well"

Speaking of girls, we had an all girls team with Lynda Ward and Jane von Pein as Team Barbie and they took it right up to the fellas with lots of top results, especially in the rocks.

See 3 (THREE) cliffhanger walls as well as sprint with all cars side by side exchanging paint. There's plenty of heart in mouth wheel stand action on the massive rocks and check out the incredibly fast winches of British Offroad and ARB Rockhampton.

Feel for Dave Bentley who's sweet sounding V8 only lasted to the first night.

Steve Graham has another crack (team Havacrack) and he's back next year with a high mount and he's not afraid to use it - look out!

ABA racing demonstrate great team work in their very well presented rig

Carl in DD Racing powers along in his Duramax powered patrol and when his auto is stuck in third he still manages to drive 2 rock stages where almost everyone else winches.

Watch local Rob Fing and Moose do the entire event running 24v through their everyday Tigerz11 Domin8r winch motor, having blown up their twin Warn motors in practice sessions. Yep 1 Tigerz11 winch motor on their high mount and it hauled back sides (I have to watch I dont swear). Maybe everyone with worn out Warn motors will be off to their local Tigerz11 dealer after they see Fing in action.

John Bidders Bidwell struts his stuff again as one of the fastest cars in the creek runs and Matty Kool in the Bidders 4WD Jeep overcomes heat issues and does great in the rocks with his new set up.

Brothers Guy and Tyler show us how to drive it in the rocks in his middy.

Damo in the GMC remained mild mannered and looked as if he had matured and mellowed making everything look easy in the behemouth Ford powered GMC .. but on the 7th day... the old Damo was back. The bumps of Lunakahna were too great to resist and he launched it a few too many times and finished the stage plowing his front diff through the dirt.

Team Repco seemed to make life hard for themselves breaking all but 1 axle in a stage and still winched to the finish in time.

But most of all see what it takes for CBT racing Christian Trusz and Terry Kane to win with a sooty. The first time Cliffhanger is won by a Diesel. But it came down to the last 8 seconds in the very last stage.

Next year's Cliffhanger is on May 10th to 15th 2015 in central NSW. If you havent been to a Cliffhanger you really ought to round up a few mates and come and see the action. Spectators get convoyed out through fantastic rough terrain and get to watch all the action up close and back at camp they get pit lane access and camp along with all the professional teams. Many friendships are made and it's no wonder once they come, they come back.
